The Pasadena Police Officers Association wants the city to use its existing policies related to audio and in-car video recordings when it places body-cameras on its officers next year.
In a letter to Pasadena’s public safety committee, PPOA attorney Leslie Wilcox said the policy for body cameras should limit the public’s access to footage, give officers discretion when turning the cameras on or off, and allow officers to review the recordings when filling out police reports.
