By a unanimous vote, the Bowie County Commissioners adopted a resolution supporting citizens empowerment for open government and accountability in county government at the request of former Pct. 4 Commissioner Carl Teel.

But before the vote was taken, Pct. 4 Commissioner Pat McCoy thought the resolution was more of a catch-22 because the current boards were all in favor of open government. They have been and will continue support transparency and open government.
