Nancy Vaughan says the city of Greensboro, N.C. is hiding behind some of the technical language in the state's public records act to keep residents from accessing certain records. And she's calling for the state attorney general to step in.
Vaughan says when the state made changes to the law two years ago, lawmaker left parts of it unclear. And that allows local governments to interpret it to benefit taxpayers. But she says that's not what's happening in Greensboro.
